WINNER: Hareket Heavy Lifting and Project

For a funicular line project in Istanbul, Turkey, a set of 22-metre-long wagons weighing 23 tonnes each had to be installed underground via a narrow shaft. An ingenious and careful prepared tandem lift operation was carried out successfully.

Due to an engine breakdown, an aeroplane was stranded in The Azores. The emergency assignment was to transport a new aircraft engine – together with a crane – from Luxembourg on an Antonov aeroplane to the Azores which proved to be a logistical challenge of the highest level!

The installation of four screen drums inside a confined process building with limited lifting height was successfully completed with an inventive tandem lift solution.

Inside a brewery in Enschede, the Netherlands, a very difficult and tricky operation was successfully carried out using a knuckle boom crane for the installation of two storage silos.
