2025 Awards Winner & Finalists – Telescopic Cranes > 120 t

Cranes > 120 ton capacity

WINNER: MJ Van Riel BV

Van Riel used four cranes to install concrete girders for the new Hague Bridge at Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands. The project faced time constraints, environmental challenges and space limitations and required advanced techniques such as a lifting triangle and a specially prepared foundation for crane positioning.

FINALIST: Crane Norway

Crane Norway recovered a derailed train following a rockslide near Finneidfjord, Norway, using a 500 tonne and a 400 tonne mobile crane. Faced with unstable slopes and an urgent need to reopen the road, they ensured safety through first class engineering and rapid planning, restoring the infrastructure ahead of schedule.

FINALIST: Hareket Heavy Lifting and Project Transportation Co.

For the replacement of a 56 metre long, 25 tonne ACON line at the SOCAR Star refinery in Turkey, Hareket organised a triple lift operation in a very confined space. This highly technical lifting operation, using advanced simulation and safety measures, ensured efficiency and precision and resulted in minimum downtime..

FINALIST: Wagenborg Nedlift B.V.

With intelligent lifting solutions and well thought-out planning and preparation, Wagenborg Nedlift completed the replacement of the dome roof of a subtropical swimming pool in Les Barils, France, in a record time of four weeks.
