2025 Awards Winner & Finalists – Transport < 120 t

Abnormal Transport Total mass < 120 t

WINNER: OL-TRANS sp z o.o.

OL-TRANS came up with a unique solution for the transport of eight tanks, each weighing 76 tonnes and measuring 4.20 metres in height, from Bydgoszcz (Poland) to Elsteraue (Germany) – namely the use of a lift adapter trailer, normally used for wind turbine segments. This allowed the transport height to be adjusted to pass under viaducts and over roundabouts.

FINALIST: Bolk Transport B.V.

The Bolk team transported 6 silos with a diameter of 5.60 metres in a sustainable way from Schapen to Schüttorf, Germany, via an inventive route with a railway crossing. Thanks to the good cooperation and teamwork of all parties involved, tree pruning was kept to a minimum.

FINALIST: Collett & Sons Ltd

Collett & Sons Ltd successfully delivered 90 wind turbine components for Cushaling Wind Farm in Ireland, including 27 record-breaking 80m blades. This project marks a significant milestone as the longest onshore blades ever delivered in the UK and Ireland.

FINALIST: Van de Wetering Boat & Special Transport

Van de Wetering transported a 60-foot yacht (19m x 4.8m x 5.05m, 30t) by road from Port St. Louis du Rhône in France to Lausanne in Switzerland. The complex and partly mountainous route required permits, feasibility studies, removal of road signs and coordination with French and Swiss pilots.
