In 2026, ESTA will celebrate 50 years of European cooperation and industry representation. Since its establishment by six national associations in 1976, ESTA has grown into a leading European association, uniting associations and companies from 27 countries. This anniversary marks five decades of progress, collaboration and dedication to making heavy transport and lifting safer and smarter. This 50-year milestone is the perfect moment to bring the sector together.
To celebrate our shared history and look ahead to the future, ESTA will host two key events:
50th Anniversary Conference
The ESTA 50th Anniversary Conference event brings together industry leaders to discuss the sector’s most important
issues and opportunities. With sessions on safety, regulation, innovation, technology and sustainability, the conference provides invaluable insights into how to build a resilient future for Europe’s heavy transport and lifting industry. It is a unique platform for learning, dialogue and progress.
