In 2023, the ESTA Board of Directors (BoD) has initiated the establishment of a permanent Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Commission at ESTA.
The objectives of the HSE Commission are:
- To recognise the critical role of our sector in the supply chain.
- To ensure that companies in our sector adhere to the highest HSE standards.
The HSE Commission will focus on the following topics:
- Promote a culture of risk prevention: promote an environment where risk prevention is prioritised across the sector.
- Legislative coordination: laying the foundations for legislative coordination of Health & Safety to ensure consistent standards and practices.
- Harmonising HSE procedures: standardise HSE procedures wherever possible to create a consistent approach.
