The UK’s Public and Commercial Services (PCS) Union has formally notified Border Force, the UK Government’s border control body, that around 100,000 of the country’s civil servants will be called on to take strike action on March 15.
The proposed strikes will impact international arrivals at all UK ports, as well as those travelling to the UK from UK border controls in Calais, Dunkirk and Coquelles in Northern France.
This Union’s action includes all Border Force staff, with the exemption of those based in Northern Ireland and Europe. Shifts that start on March 15 are in scope for this industrial action, with likely impacts on shifts going into March 16.
