Important transport training session on new rules and operation of ERRU

The European Labour Authority (ELA) has announced it will organise a sector-specific online training session on road transport on November 14 from 9.30-12.30 CET.

This training session will be dedicated to the new rules and obligations on the return of the vehicle, driving times and rest periods (mainly focused on weekly rest outside the cabin).

It will also cover information on the classification of serious infringements and the first reports on the use of European Register of Road Transport Undertakings (ERRU).

A copy of the draft agenda is at the end of this story.

The ELA says it hopes to provide interpretation into all EU languages. The training session is aimed at representatives from national authorities, transport associations, social partners and road freight transport undertakings. The sessions will also be recorded, and the aim is to publish all language versions on ELA’s YouTube-site.

Interested ESTA members are invited to save-the-date. We will publish additional details in due course.

The European Labour Authority (ELA) was set up by the European Commission in 2019 to ensure that EU rules on labour mobility and free movement work in practice and that the agreed rules are properly enforced. It is based in Bratislava, Slovakia.
