Changes to the UK goods vehicle movement service come into force on January 1, 2022.
Currently, any haulier that moves goods into Great Britain from the EU currently only needs to use the goods vehicle movement service if your goods are moving under the Common Transit Convention or Transit.
From January 1, hauliers will need to use the goods vehicle movement service to get any goods that are moved through a port in the UK that uses the service, through customs.
